A FAMILY BUSINESS FOUNDED IN 1954
Patel Tea Packer started in 1954 by Mohanlal Patel. His son, Madhavlal, sold tea door-to-door, ensuring family sustenance with just 2 kilograms sold daily. Despite initial financial hurdles, Madhavlal aimed for business expansion. As his children, Deepakbhai and Vinodbhai, grew, they joined, gradually increasing sales, setting a strong base for future success.

We started in a small grocery store in Unjha. Our main goal is to make top-quality teas for customers worldwide. We make sure our teas have very little foreign matter and meet high international standards. We use both automated machines and traditional methods to keep our tea top-notch. We're dedicated to offering great tea at fair prices, making sure our customers are always happy.
THE EARLY YEARS
1990
Until the 1990s, we mainly sold loose tea from local markets in Unjha, Gujarat. As our tea blends became more and more popular, we decided to grow our business. This meant changing how we got our tea. Instead of just buying from local markets, we started buying tea from the famous Kolkata tea auction.
This big change was an important moment for us. It meant we could get better quality tea and grow our business even more. We're really committed to giving our customers the best tea possible, and this change helped us do that. We're always looking for ways to improve and offer a wider variety of top-quality teas to our customers.

WE STARTED BLENDING TEAS
1992
In 1992, Deepakbhai M. Patel, Mohanlal's grandson, led the effort to get tea from Kolkata's auction in India. We tried something new by blending different teas and testing them for at least a year to make sure they were just right. We looked at how they looked, smelled, tasted, and felt in your mouth.
People really liked these new blends, and they became well-known as Patel's Tea's best teas. This shows how committed we are to coming up with new ideas and making better teas for everyone to enjoy.

DISTRIBUTOR ENGAGED

Until 1995, our blended teas primarily originated from Assam and were predominantly retailed from our flagship store in Unjha, Gujarat. However, as the demand for our blends surged, we diversified our distribution network, transitioning to wholesale channels.
This expansion saw us distributing our teas to numerous outlets across Gujarat, Rajasthan progressively extending our reach to suburban areas before establishing a nationwide presence across India.
